2026 Outlook

Harris made the roster and enters Year 2 as a prominent rotational receiver behind the top starters. His size and contested-catch ability give the offense a different profile, and the next step is converting those traits into a larger regular-season role.

Career Highlights

Drafted in the second round in 2025, he is rapidly emerging as a physical, big-bodied vertical weapon who blends crisp route running with elite contested-catch ability. Harris was a 2024 Second-Team All-American and two-time Biletnikoff Award semifinalist after productive stops at Louisiana Tech and Ole Miss. The Chargers selected him No. 55 overall in 2025; as a rookie he caught 30 passes for 324 yards and a touchdown while earning praise for his blocking.

Personal Life

Harris was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, as Cleveland Joseph Harris III, the son of Cleveland Harris Jr. and Delana Harris. He is the only boy and second-youngest of four children, growing up with three sisters in a close family that he has credited for his work ethic; his father spent decades working in the oil fields, while his mother held the family together during long stretches when he was away for work. Harris earned a bachelor's degree in general business and has repeatedly said representing his family name the right way is a major source of motivation.
