⚡️ Chargers fans — let’s look ahead to the 2027 NFL Draft. Top draft priorities!
The Chargers currently hold six 2027 picks: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and a 7th-rounder acquired from the Rams. They don’t currently own their 6th- or original 7th-round picks.
It’s obviously way too early to know exactly what the Chargers will
need, but based on the current roster and the contracts coming up after
this season, what do you think should be the top draft priorities for the Chargers in 2027?Are you looking at:
- EDGE/pass rusher
- Offensive tackle
- Wide receiver
- Center/interior offensive line
- Defensive tackle
- Safety
- Cornerback
- Or another position entirely?
For me, EDGE, OT, and WR are the three positions I’m watching most closely. But a lot could change depending on how the 2026 season plays out, especially with some key veterans potentially hitting free agency.
If you were Joe Hortiz heading into the 2027 draft, what position would you target in Round 1, and why?
And the bigger question: do you draft for the biggest need, or simply take the best player available?
