2026 Outlook
Vidal secured a roster spot after leading the Chargers in rushing in 2025 and now gives the backfield proven depth behind Hampton and Mitchell. He should see rotational carries and remains one of the first options if injuries alter the pecking order.
Career Highlights
Drafted in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, he has established himself as a highly productive committee back known for his compact, powerful build and high volume threshold. Vidal left Troy as the program's all-time leading rusher and was the 2023 Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year. The Chargers drafted him in Round 6 in 2024; in 2025 he produced 643 rushing yards and three touchdowns, including three 100-yard rushing games while Hampton was sidelined.
Personal Life
Vidal was born in Atlanta to Kwame Vidal and Dayna Scott Vidal and grew up in a family with deep athletic and public-service ties. He has a sister, Kaylin, and is the grandson of former U.S. Representative David Scott; through his maternal grandmother Alfredia, he is also a great-nephew of baseball legend Hank Aaron. That family connection to high-level sports has long been part of Vidal's background, alongside the work ethic that carried him from Marietta High School to Troy and the NFL.
